Bio/Resume

Shane Taylor Pretty (they/he) is a Trans Nonbinary dancer, singer, and actor based in New York City; they are also a member of Actors Equity Association. They moved to NYC from the north shore of Massachusetts in 2016 to study Theatre and Dance at Marymount Manhattan College, where they stayed for 2 years. In 2018 he transferred to the Institute for American Musical Theatre, a 2 year conservatory program where he graduated in 2020. Since then, Shane has been busy with various developmental projects, including a new musical entitled Loud and with Feeling by Spencer J. Vigil (he/they), where they played the main protagonist "Shane". The first presentation of Loud and with Feeling was directed by Tony Nominee L. Morgan Lee and took place at Berklee NYC. Shane has also recently played Doctor Dillamond, u/s Fiyero in Butch Wicked, a show that played 4 sold out performances in December 2024 and January 2025!
