I am Dr. Shalu S (ശാലു എസ്സ്), a researcher in Neurolinguistics. I completed my PhD in Neurolinguistics at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Ropar, with Dr. Kamal Kumar Choudhary as my supervisor. 

My research focuses on Linguistics, Neurolinguistics and Psycholinguistics. My doctoral work examined the processing of experiencer verbs in Malayalam. My research interests include processing biases in language comprehension, sentential negation processing, and the neurotypology of Dravidian languages. More broadly, my work seeks to understand how linguistic structure, contextual factors, and typological variation shape the neurocognitive mechanisms underlying language processing.
