Shakumbhari Devi is a Hindu goddess of nourishment and abundance, a form of Mahadevi, who is depicted with fruits and vegetables symbolizing fertility and the provision of sustenance for all beings. According to legend, she appeared to end a severe drought and famine by growing plants from her own body and slaying the demon Durgama, restoring the Vedas. Her worship is particularly prominent during the Shakambari Navratri festival, and a major temple dedicated to her is located in Jasmour, Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
