Ok so, let's begin with my favourite style! A saree can easily make you look like a goddess but the original way of wearing saree is different. Yes! You heard it right. When saree was introduced for the first time, there was only an unstitched piece of cloth (i.e. saree) and nothing else, so no blouse and no peticoat. Just a saree! And then styling the saree was obviously different than what it is now. They would wear it in such a way that there was no need for anything else to add. You can checkout some videos on the Internet about the styling method.Â
2. The Statement Look !!!
The simple sarees are great! But if you add a statement accessory to it, can be in contrasting colour or just a jewelry piece that can grab the eyeballs of people will be an amazing idea to look expensive without much effort.
The sleeves might not be the point of attention with styling a saree but sleeves do play a huge part in giving the vibe that you want in your saree look. For example, 3/4 th sleeves or elbow length sleeves give a vibe of mature and balanced woman while short sleeves like cap sleeves, puff sleeves and other girly style sleeves give off the delicate, cute and feminine vibe. Sleeveless blouses are known to give the elegant and gorgeous look while full sleeves make the look more dramatic.
4. The Business Woman !!!
A saree is not only for traditional occasions but also great for business looks. Wearing a blazer while placing the pallu over the blazer's shoulder pad and adding a belt of same colour over the blazer waist is a great way to achieve sophisticated saree look.
The vintage vibe is all about simplicity, softness and timeless beauty which means add gajra or flowers as your hair accessory, a simple pendant, a vintage watch, a bindi, bangles and oxidized earrings as other accessories. All you need to do is just wear a saree and add the simple and timeless things to your look. And don't forget to add a splash of SMILE!
