Hi People!
Thank you for dropping down here.
I am Shaik Mohammed Waseem, a passionate researcher in multidisciplinary domains and currently working as Senior Research Associate at MINRO, IIIT Bangalore, India. I look into problems in the society from various perspectives, that include day to day tasks being performed by humans. I indeed try to solve problems in my ability by providing few practical solutions. I have worked in the fields of autonomous control, computer vision, agricultural technology and signal processing with solutions framed for edge computing that target Internet of Things (IoT) deployments. Besides research, I also hold 6+ years of Industry experience in different roles of product development and management. I also had few research based stints and offers across Malaysia and United Kingdom. As part of my research work and product development, I have been using Xilinx Zynq Architecture based Field Programmable Gate Array Embedded boards like Xilinx ZCU104 and Avnet Ultra 96v2. I have developed FPGA based micro-architectures to cater the needs of compute/memory hungry machine learning/reinforcement learning algorithms that broadly address domains like computer vision and autonomous control. Leveraging FPGA based on-chip memory and parallelization were few of the key advantages in these developed micro-architectures. The interfacing capabilities for the developed architectures include ARM-AMBA (Advanced Microcontroller Bus Architecture), AXI (Adavanced eXtensible Interface) based protocols. I have been using Verilog HDL (Hardware Descriptive Language), System Verilog, High Level Synthesis, Python, Tcl and C/C++ as means to develop and verify these architectures. Energy efficiency, timing and silicon area were key parameters of consideration by me to enable the work’s possibility towards edge based deployments.
