Tiffin Hisab — Privacy Policy

Tiffin Hisab is an offline Android bookkeeping app published by Shaigo for tiffin center owners. This policy explains how the app handles business records, customer information and optional device features.
Information you enter
The app stores the information the owner enters: tiffin center name, contact details and address; customer names, phone numbers, addresses, areas and notes; joining dates, plans, monthly fees, due dates, payments, advances and adjustments; lunch and dinner status, service mode and pauses; expenses and change history. These records are used to manage the owner’s tiffin business.
Customer payment entries are bookkeeping records. The app does not collect money from tiffin customers or access their bank accounts, cards, UPI apps, SMS messages or contact lists. Owners should enter only information they are authorized to use and avoid unnecessary sensitive information in notes.
Local storage and access
Business records are stored in the app’s private local database on your Android device. Shaigo does not receive or remotely access these records. The app has no account registration, cloud synchronization, backend connection, analytics or advertising SDK. Normal app use works without internet, and the Android app does not request INTERNET permission.
Recent internal safety snapshots remain inside the app, with up to seven saved-day snapshots retained. They are not uploaded and are not a substitute for an exported backup.
Backup, restore, exports and sharing
A full JSON backup contains business and customer records, including financial details and history. CSV and PDF exports may also contain customer or payment information. The app creates these files only when you request an export and choose a destination using Android’s file picker. A location you choose may be a cloud storage provider; that provider’s privacy practices apply to the saved file.
Restore reads the backup file you select and, after confirmation, replaces the current records. Payment reminders use Android’s share chooser only when you request sharing. You choose the recipient and sending app; reminders are not sent automatically to customers. The selected messaging, email or storage service may process the information you choose to share under its own policy.
Shaigo does not automatically receive exported files, backups or shared reminders. Keep these files private and delete unwanted copies from the locations where you saved or shared them.
Optional PIN and local reminders
The optional app PIN lock stores a salted PIN hash and recovery verification information locally on your device. These settings are not sent to Shaigo and are not included in the business backup. A PIN restricts app access; it does not encrypt the database or exported files.
If you enable daily payment review reminders, Android may request notification permission. Notifications are scheduled locally. The app uses Android’s boot-completed event to reschedule enabled reminders after a restart. Disabling reminders stops their local scheduling. The app does not use these permissions to send customer messages or track your device.
Google Play purchases
If you purchase the app through Google Play, Google handles the purchase and payment under Google’s applicable terms and privacy policy. The app does not collect your card details or bank credentials. Shaigo may use order or transaction information made available by Google Play to handle purchase-related support and business records.
Support correspondence
If you email mundegopinath8857@gmail.com, Shaigo receives your email address and any information, screenshots or files you choose to send. We use this information to answer your request, investigate issues and maintain necessary support records. Please remove customer personal information from screenshots and avoid sending a full business backup unless it is needed for your support request.
Support information is retained as needed to resolve the request and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. You may request deletion of support correspondence by emailing the same address. We will remove information that is no longer needed, subject to any required retention. Email is handled through our email service provider. Shaigo does not sell customer records or support correspondence.
Retention and deletion
Local business records remain on your device until replaced or removed. Making a customer inactive and correcting a payment retain history; these actions do not erase the underlying records. The Delete customer action, after confirmation, removes the customer profile and their linked payments, monthly charges, meal records, pauses and adjustments from current app records. This also changes totals in reports. Earlier action descriptions in general change history, exported backups and internal safety snapshots may retain previous information. To remove all local app records and settings, use Android Settings → Apps → Tiffin Hisab → Storage → Clear storage, or uninstall the app. This also removes internal safety snapshots.
Exported backups, CSV files, PDFs, messages and copies held by other services are outside the app’s private storage and are not deleted by uninstalling or clearing the app. Delete those copies separately if you no longer need them. Shaigo cannot restore or delete records on your device remotely. This app has no online account to delete.
Security
The app uses Android private app storage, transactional database saves and an optional access PIN. Android automatic app backup is disabled. The database and exported backups do not have additional app-level encryption. Protect your device with a screen lock, keep recovery information safe and choose secure locations for backups. No security measure can guarantee complete protection.
Intended users and policy updates
Tiffin Hisab is intended for adult tiffin center owners and operators. It is not designed for children. We may update this policy when app features or data practices change. The latest policy will be included in the app and on its published privacy policy page, with an updated date.
