WORK EXPERIENCE
I was a research fellow (Mar. 2020 – Feb. 2022) at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, KSA, where I worked on the signal & image processing of automotive- and UAV-borne radars by using cutting-edge machine learning-based techniques.
I was a research associate (Feb. 2016 – Jan. 2020) at the University of Edinburgh, United Kingdom, where I worked on signal & image processing algorithms of all-weather automotive radars for autonomous cars or driver assistance, in collaboration with Jaguar Land Rover.
I was a research associate (Dec. 2014 – Dec. 2015) at Imperial College London, United Kingdom, where I worked on optimal waveform design for joint wireless power and information transfer for MIMO-OFDM based sensors.
I was a post-doctoral researcher (Jun. 2014 – Dec. 2014) at ULB, Brussels, Belgium, where I worked on efficient signal processing algorithms for Radars.
I was a PhD researcher (Nov. 2009 – Jun. 2014 ) at Delft University of Technology, Delft, The Netherlands, where I worked in the general area of signal processing for communications, designed sub-sampling methods for ultra-wideband signals to reduce the sampling rates much below the Nyquist rate in order to save power and reduce computational complexity.
I was an assistant manager, in PTCL (Aug. 2004 – Jul. 2007), and in LESCO (Aug. 2002 - Jul. 2004 ), Lahore, Pakistan.
