Shahan has completed B.Sc (Hons) in Chemistry with Physics and Mathematics as subsidiary subjects from Aligarh Muslim University (A.M.U), Aligarh in 2017. He completed his Master’s degree in Chemistry from the Department of Chemistry, IIT Madras, Chennai in 2019. Then, he joined Prof. M. Eswaramoorthy’s group in August 2019 as a Research Assistant, He have worked on high surface area carbon-based porous nanomaterial for drug delivery, gas storage and catalytic application. Further, in January 2020, he joined Prof. Prabeer Barpanda's research group at MRC, IISc Bangalore as a PhD student, Prof. Prabeer's group mainly focus to develop new materials for alkali-ion (Li, Na, K-ion) battery. Currently, He is working on Perovskite frameworks for metal-ion and metal-air batteries.
