Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and communicate pre- and post-award administrative procedures for externally sponsored projects.

  • Support faculty with grant proposal submissions in conjunction with Sponsored Projects Administration (budget development, award documentation, administrative portions of proposals, internal approvals, monitoring issues around effort, cost share, space needs, and tuition remission)

  • Support faculty regarding contracts, progress reports, and other sponsor-related grant actions.

  • Support faculty regarding post-award grant management, including projections, effort allocations, reporting, human resources, consultants and close-outs.

  • Coordinate internal and external reporting needs including maintenance of HEI's database.

  • Develop and maintain the award process web pages.

  • Work with the Director of Research Strategy to set goals and responsibilities within the research office and monitor procedural efficiencies.

  • Identify a programmatic strategy for research that promotes multidisciplinary collaboration within the university.

  • Develop a structure for the mentorship of junior faculty.

  • Facilitate collaborations among faculty by identifying overlapping research interests and providing communication opportunities.

  • Provide faculty information about the grant process including study section procedures, interpreting reviews and identifying appropriate funding mechanisms.

  • Develop and maintain research cores and infrastructure within the institute including web pages, internal grant review procedures and statistical support.


Program Officer

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Keeping liaison with the Government & UN agencies, health organizations in the private sector and multinationals to develop and implement programs/activities collectively.

  • Devising strategies to uplift health coverage and services in urban and rural areas.

  • Ensuring that all Integrated Health services programs are self-sustainable in the long term.

  • Launching new programs aimed at alleviating health infrastructure in rural and remote areas keeping in view the socio-economic constraints, the geo-political situation, human resources and the health challenges being faced locally.

  • Monitoring implementation status, tracking progress through field visits, preparing relevant reports and briefings, conducting project reviews, documenting lessons learned and determining project impact.

  • Assessing project risk and conducting cost and benefit analysis.

  • Providing day-to-day decision-making on critical project issues pertaining to project scope, schedule, budget, methodology and resources.

  • Providing direction, leadership and support to project team members in a professional manner at the projects, functional and task levels.

  • Ensuring that project documentation is complete and communicated (e.g., project charter, scope statement, project schedule, project budget, requirements, testing and others)

  • Identifying funding sources and facilitating the prioritization of project requirements.

  • Managing the planning and control of project activities and resources.
