About
I am an Environmental and GIS Specialist, researcher, and educator with a strong interest in applying geospatial technologies to address environmental and disaster management challenges. My academic background includes a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Disaster Management from Bangladesh.
I have worked on a variety of environmental, infrastructure, and research projects involving environmental and social impact assessment, environmental monitoring, GIS and remote sensing, disaster risk assessment, and sustainable development. Throughout my career, I have contributed to projects funded by international development partners, including the World Bank, Asian Development Bank (ADB), Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), KfW Development Bank, and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), across sectors such as transportation, energy, and water resources. These experiences have allowed me to combine scientific knowledge with practical solutions for real-world environmental and social issues.
In addition to my professional work, I am passionate about sharing knowledge. I founded the Center for Geospatial and Environmental Solutions and manage the GIS & RS Solution educational platform, where I provide tutorials, technical guidance, and learning resources on GIS, remote sensing, and environmental modeling.
My research focuses on integrating GIS, Earth observation, artificial intelligence, and spatial analytics to address environmental challenges, disaster resilience, ecological assessment, and sustainable natural resource management. I am committed to advancing research, promoting geospatial education, and developing innovative solutions that support evidence-based decision-making and sustainable development.
