Shadows on the Mountain is an acoustic duo with Christian (he/him) on guitar and Bronwen (she/her) on vocals. We are inspired by artists such as John Denver, Iron and Wine, Brandi Carlile, and John Mayer. We started playing music together in 2019 and have loved performing at open mics, Porchfests, and events that benefit mental health support organizations. Particularly inspired by the music and lyrics of Gregory Alan Isakov and many talented local singer-songwriters, we've made the leap from playing cover music to working on our own songs. As we explore and study different genres like pop, folk, and rock, we're figuring out how to grow as musicians and what it means to us to be Shadows on the Mountain.

The air is getting cooler, warm seasonal drinks are on hand, and flannels are back! That means something special for us this year…

We are so excited to share that Shadows on the Mountain will be performing at the 207th Topsfield Fair on Monday, October 6, 6-9 PM! 

We’ll be on the Picnic Area Stage, covering music that inspires us to be Shadows on the Mountain, such as John Denver, Iron and Wine, and Brandi Carlile. We’ll play some originals, too! 

October 6 is also Sensory Day - a day that provides an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere for those with sensory sensitivities - so our music will be on the softer side to provide our audience with a relaxed atmosphere that is accessible and enjoyable for all. Vendors will also do their part by minimizing any lights and noises that may be overstimulating during the fair.
