The Estate

The Estate features an orientation area in the old stables, three different learning complexes, a learning assessment zone, and a student gallery. Each complex has a series of rooms or chambers where artworks and learning links are displayed.

The Stables - The former estate stables have been repurposed as an orientation area. There are tutorials and examples of the interactive features found on the island. Visitors can go for a ride around the paddock area on one of the horses, Daydream and Phantom.

The Mansion - the Mansion houses works by European and Western artists. The mansion features a marvelous late 19th century arboretum ballroom suitable for large gatherings and exposition style presentations.

The Temple - The Temple complex is a large sprawling complex with multiple chambers and gathering spaces dedicated to the display and study of Non-Western Art and Artifacts. The Hall of the Rising Sun is used for meetings-in-the-round.

The Grotto - The Grotto complex is a masterpiece of modern design created for the study of contemporary art issues. The complex is submerged in the Shadowglen lagoon where the Allston-Wentworth's once moored their small landing boats. This area is for the study of contemporary artists. The complex has a large hall with auditorium style seating and views of the lagoon. The sharks and sea turtle are full time residents.

The Glade - The Glade is the learning assessment zone. After each module students can teleport to a central area where they will locate a key protected door leading to the link to the Google Quiz. The assessment doors will only open if students have collected the proper key notecards from the associated gallery or chamber. Students must pass the Google Quiz by 85% in order to receive an email link to the essay portion of the test and the door password to the next module. Additional messages and information about upcoming assignments can also be distributed through the auto-response to the quiz.

The Gallery - The skybox gallery is dedicated to the presentation of student work for both the class and visitors. The Gallery can only be accessed by teleporting from the link near the main Shadowglen gates.
