Each boss has a shield and the players must destroy it within a given time frame before they can finish the boss. After all the shield is destroyed, players can finish the boss in a final one-on-one battle. If they lose the final fight, they can repeat it until they win. Each raid fight consists of one round, lasting 45 seconds. Players can buy or obtain several items like Charges of Darkness and Elixirs to aid them to deal additional damage or survive longer. There are certain things that make the raid fights differ from other fights:

Players can join a clan or create their own clan in Underworld. Being in clan will give player the advantages to fight bosses together with their clan members. It also provides a better chance to gather players during match-up.

Lurking at the end of a dungeon in Yaesha, this boss can be quite difficult to take down on your own. Especially if you're running on a higher difficulty as it drags you into the fight without warning. So to help you best this overgrown beast, here's a handy guide on how to beat Kaeula's Shadow in Remnant 2.

First off, it's not too difficult to find the boss fight with Kaeula's Shadow. It's found in Yaesha and most people will run into it as the spawn rate for it is pretty nominal. Plus it comes in two unique variants that contain separate puzzles. In this case, it's two, plus a Wind Puzzle that also has different rewards for those that complete it solo or in co-op.

So there are plenty of incentives to check out this particular dungeon, aside from taking on the boss of course. Thankfully the fight itself doesn't change, so if you encounter it once, you'll know what to expect on a re-roll.

The dungeon in question is Kaeula's Rest and you'll usually have to go through it in order to progress through the campaign story in Yaesha, or if you're running the zone in Adventure Mode. Once you reach the end of the zone there will be a ring on a stone table, make sure to reload and heal before you pick it up as when you do, a large tentacle will emerge from the ground, wrap around you, and quickly yank you into the ground. This will basically teleport you straight into the boss fight. So take some time to prep before this point.

The boss is pretty spongy and it's got one particular phase in its attack cycle that can be pretty unforgiving. Plus, you need to take into account the type of ground you're fighting on.

Like every boss fight in Remnant 2, your biggest incentive for taking on these fights, aside from progression, is the loot. Usually, it's a Tome Of Knowledge, Lumenite Crystals, some Scrap, and either a Mutator or a crafting part for a new Weapon Mod or gun. Some are more powerful than others, and the drop you get from Kaeula's Shadow is a little odd.

Because Gnarlroot is the first boss, it's traditionally a simple fight. However, there are some aspects of the fight (100% damage buff) that will make this one of the more popular first boss encounters in recent history!

Massive roots will spawn around the boss that need to be burned down. To do this, players need to soak the Splintering Charcoal circles and touch the roots afterwards. Once it starts burning, move to the next part of the root until you lose your Ember Charred debuff. Keep doing the Soak and Burn combo until all the roots are gone.

There are two ways to kill this boss, directly attacking it or popping its root pustules. You can choose by either going through the main path to directly confront it or going left and slipping down a small hole in the floor to attack its pustules. You cannot go back on your choice unless you die.

Deciding to directly fight the Mother of the Roots is akin to a traditional boss fight, hope you brought good weapons and plenty of ammo. The arena is large and circular, with the boss in the center. As well as a few scaffolding structures against the arena walls.

Deciding to indirectly fight the Mother of the Roots and destroy its root pustules isn't a walk in the park. Instead of fighting the boss, you'll have to fight a large sum of various enemies as well as destroying the pustules. Enemies found here are: Animated Dead, Humanpedes, Birdmen and a Vendigo.

For those wandering the sewers of Earth (not the railway), there are only a couple of different Dungeon Bosses that could be waiting for them at the end, Gorefist or Shroud. As such, Shroud is likely the first boss players will fight in Remnant. And, it's a pretty simple encounter, as far as bosses go.

If players choose not to give him the Pocket Watch, a fight ensues with Brabus and his gang, where he uses his shotgun to stun the player while continuously summoning Bandit mobs to serve as ammo refills for the player. As it turns out, the 'canonical' ending for his boss battle is the Wanderer giving him the Pocket Watch, and Brabus takes that Pocket Watch, reconnects with his father Mudtooth, and the both of them settle down in Ward 13.

Singe is no doubt the more difficult boss fight of the two, which may seem surprising given the size difference between Singe and the Ent, but it's true. However, the rewards that come from it are the Blazing Heart or the Dragon Links, depending on how it's killed, which are made into weapons that, on average, players seem to like more than the options the Ent offers.

Located in the Lair of the Eyeless, Raze is a forgettable Dungeon boss that summons a swarm of Wasteland Skulls by screaming at the player constantly during their fight, as well as peppering them with fireballs off and on. Honestly, it feels like the 'boss battle variant' of a basic mob similar to the Mangler, but the Sentinel Skulls, the mob Raze is built upon, show up so rarely that it feels more Raze is the higher variant of a Wasteland Skull instead.

Claviger can be found in The Spindle, so if players can't find this location in their roll of Rhom, then they likely got the Harrow instead. Players will need to beat this thing to get through Rhom at all, as it drops the Howling Key, which is mandatory for making it into the chamber where the Undying King resides. Thankfully, Claviger is a pretty unique fight for a couple of reasons. One, it's a rare example of a boss that's gigantic but doesn't resort to a lot of the stereotypical gimmicks giant-sized bosses seem to always have.

The Undying King is, technically, just an optional World Boss of Rhom that players can find in the Undying Throne Room (now accessible thanks to the Howling Key from Claviger/Harrow). As one would expect with an 'optional' boss, players will have the option to just talk to him instead of fighting, which involves agreeing to his request for the Guardian of Corsus' Heart, letting him open the portal to Corsus, and hopping through.

Now, it's pretty unanimously agreed upon that this is one of the harder fights in the game, so many players will get through this fight in their first campaign, but then choose to 'accept' his request and then just never talk to him again in every subsequent run to avoid dealing with this boss battle multiple times, especially on Apocalypse Mode.

Moving on to the sweaty and swampy world of Corsus, this first example of a Dungeon Boss is pretty similar to fighting Shroud back on Earth. While their appearances and patterns are vastly different, both bosses tend to stay at long range while constantly trying to lob projectiles at the player, and will also run/teleport away when the player does get close. This is likely where players will first start getting infected with the 'Corroded' Status Effect, so make sure to have a couple of Greenleaves on hand for when that happens.

Found in The Mire Hollow just inside the Drowned Trench, Canker is one of the most stereotypical "monster" designs and is also pretty boring in terms of the actual boss battle's mechanics. Essentially, the whole arena is bogged down with swamp water, making it difficult for players to move around or dodge much while fighting Canker.

It's one of the fights in the game that truly feels designed to be intentionally overwhelming, as players will need to keep constant track of attacks from all sides, as well as manage both the bosses' HP bars. If anything, a fight like this is one of the rare things Remnant 2 is missing, as there's not really any example in that game of a boss battle thats comparable to Ixillis.

This boss is relatively simple and is activated by lighting 3 bonfires around the area beforehand. Once you find the 3 bonfires, a wisp will guide you to them. The tank above all should ALWAYS turn the boss away from the group. The general rule of thumb for most bosses I know, but it IS important in this fight.

NOTE:  Each path you successfully complete will leave small glowing flowers on the ground leading back to the middle of the room. This indicates that THAT side is complete. Once you have nailed all 3 sections, the boss will spawn from a geyser in the middle of the area. Now you officially have to fight the boss! Keep her taunted at ALL times!

Normally, this event is triggered with the Amalgalich Boss Altar being activated. When done, it is called from the darkest reaches of the world and seeks to devour everything to increase its wretched mass; including you! It will build a large arena around you before you fight it, so be sure that you are far enough away from home before fighting this boss.

Take the Inverted Statue to the Carian Study Hall and place it on the pedestal at the front of the hall. Walk up the stairs on either side of the pedestal, then fall down into the lift shaft and head through the doorway, where a couple of little-hand monsters will ambush you. You'll find that the study hall has literally been turned upside down. Your job is to platform down from the top of the hall, onto the chandeliers, then the beams of wood and finally onto a platform that will take you to Liurnia Tower Bridge. Your traversal will be obstructed by the Godskin Noble, a tough miniboss that you'll have to get through. Your reward, once you get into the Divine Tower of Liurnia, is the Cursemark of Death. You can give this item to Fia in the Deeproot Depths to unlock a gnarly boss fight and ultimately give you an extra option for Elden Ring's ending. ff782bc1db
