Being born in Tehran in 1980, I was driven solely by my passion for painting, as a means to calm an inner restlessness that was ever present. This undying passion has led me on a remarkable journey, step by step, through a world of boundless imagination and otherworldly images that can be contained within a human mind. At the tender age of nine, I was fortunate to become an apprentice under Mansoura Hosseini, a renowned painter, for three years, upon the recommendation and introduction of Dr. Amir Ismail Sandouzi, a painter and sculptor himself. Subsequently, I pursued my passion for drawing and painting for two years at the Reza Abbasi Museum, followed by another two years at the School of Art and Literature of Radio and Television. At 15, I was exposed to a unique style of painting in the classes of Hannibal Al-Khalas, followed by seven years under Karim Nasr. Two years after joining the University of Art and Architecture, I held my first group exhibition at Berg Gallery at the age of 22, thanks to favorable life conditions that allowed me to work and operate independently, and establish my own private design club, which altered my expectations of my professional future from an early stage.
Around 2007-2009, I had the chance to visit the UK, where I encountered some of the world's leading artists, visited prestigious museums and galleries, and studied conceptual art at the Tate Modern in London, which culminated in a profound impression on me after seeing the works of neo-expressionist artists like George Baselitz at the Royal Academy in London.
Upon returning to Iran, and after completing my master's degree, I opened my own studio and showcased my paintings in numerous solo and group exhibitions both domestically and internationally. For me, painting serves as a medium for narrating the human experience of life, death, fantasy, and struggle. Everything I portray in my paintings is an embodiment of countless dreams, memories, and wishes, as well as my anger and anxiety. In this self-created world, I find solace and can breathe, love, and immerse myself completely, away from the mundane world of philistines.
