To our Members, Prospective Members, and Parents,
Happy November, Shabak! We have a month full of fun events planned! As the term begins to wrap up we still have many big events to look forward to, namely the GMR Regional Invite Convention where Shabak will be competing to win our 3rd straight Invite Convention Win, something never before done in the region! With November starting, Declaration Packets for Shabak’s 9th Chapter board have opened! We highly recommend running for a position on Shabak’s 9th Chapter board as being on board is a great opportunity to increase your involvement in the chapter and requires a lot of responsibility. We can’t wait to see you all have fun at Invite Convention. Have a great November and a Happy Thanksgiving, Shabak! 🍁🥧🦃

Shabak AZA #2342 strongly condemns the Hamas terrorist organization's horrific actions. We support Israel and stand by its right to defend itself. We are sickened by this, and we pray for the safety of the State of Israel and stand shoulder-to-shoulder with its people. We especially recognize the efforts of teens our age being called upon to fight. We also recognize that many of you may have deeply personal connections to the land of Israel and its people, and we want you to know that we, as a board, are here for you. If you need anything or just want someone to talk to, reach out to any one of us. This is a difficult time to be a Jew, and it is essential that we are there for each other as brothers and sibling Alephs.

Invite Convention Packing Tips
Invite is an amazing convention, and we want to give some advice on what to bring to these conventions for Shabakites who are attending Invite as their first overnight convention.
1 pair of Shabbat Clothes
Invite Convention opens with a shabbat dinner/services, come dressed!
2 pairs of clothes
Make sure to pack enough clothing for each day of the weekend!
1 sweatshirt
The Renaissance Hotel can get cold, we advise you to bring a warm layer!
1 piece of Red Clothing
Shabak will be competing in sports competitions, make sure to bring a piece of red clothes to represent Shabak!
Gym Shoes
Make sure to pack a pair of gym shoes for when we compete in some games against the region!
Toiletries
While the Renaissance Hotel does provide shampoo and conditioner, make sure to bring your own toothbrushes/toothpaste!
While this is not a comprehensive list of things you may want to bring for Invite, these are the items we highly suggest you pack for the convention. Attending members will also be provided a T-Shirt to wear during Shabak’s performances, but that will be provided once we are at the convention.
