Observe that in the second video below, even when the soiled side of the cloth cleans a new surface, it continues to pull/suck up the particles instead of transferring them down onto the surface.
This is the same "one-way vacuum" effect you'll notice when you use the wet cloth to pull a stain out of carpet.
