The Ninety-Nines

San Gabriel Valley Chapter

The NINETY-NINES is an international organization of licensed women pilots from 35 countries with 5,800+ members throughout the world. Named after the number of founding members in 1929, The "Ninety-Nines", Inc. is also the oldest pilot organization in the United States. Today, Ninety-Nines are professional pilots for airlines, industry and government, we are student pilots, we are pilots who teach and pilots who fly for pleasure, we are pilots who are technicians and mechanics. But first and foremost, we are women who love to fly!

The San Gabriel Valley Chapter "Ninety-Nines" are women pilots flying out of the Cable, Pomona, Brackett, Flabob, Riverside, Redlands, San Bernardino, Corona, Ontario airports and anyone living in the area. The SGV Ninety-Nines are active in mentoring and supporting student pilots or aviatrixes pursuing advanced training. We hold monthly meetings, usually at Brackett Field Airport (KPOC), and take a summer break during July & August.

The SGV Chapter also holds fundraisers throughout the year and offers flight scholarships to promote more females in aviation. The Ninety-Nines at the international level also provides flight scholarships to deserving members to help with the flight training costs of student pilots via the "Fly Now" scholarship and Amelia Earhart Memorial Scholarship Fund (AEMSF) awards, that pay for an entire advanced pilot certificate or rating.
