About - Botanical Drawings

Context

I collect things to draw, I like to keep my hand in with drawing from  observation, for sure it ensures you look at things really closely.

Leaves that drop in Autumn are a rich treasure trove. I like when a leaf starts to disintegrate, curl up, decay and decompose, the leaf becomes more interesting.

I had thought to draw more than one leaf on the page but somehow that small leaf occupied all the space.

I use a drawing pen, I like the way it glides over the paper.
