The Spring Garden Elementary Parent Teacher Association is... as you may have guessed... an association of SGE Parents and Teachers!
BUT WHAT IS IT THAT WE ACTUALLY DO??
The PTA works to plan fun events for SGE families. Sometimes these events are fundraisers but other times it's just for community engagement! In order to fund these events as well as other initiatives and purchases, we host plenty of fundraisers.
WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO??
Sometimes we have a specific goal, like when we aimed to purchase the electronic sign for the front of the school (success)! We also help sponsor SGE special programs, field trips and assemblies for the students.
THAT SOUNDS LOVELY - TELL ME MORE!
Take a look at this list of accomplishments! In the 2024-2025 school year, the PTA was able to:
Provide/Purchase: • a projector and screen for the cafeteria/auditorium • magnetic boards for classrooms in need • an outdoor picnic table • 2 projectors for classrooms without • teacher reimbursements • agenda books for each student • field trips for each grade level • multiple school wide assemblies • mobile Science Lab visit • monthly treats for teachers and staff • birthday books for each student • Fuzzy Gram gifts for each student • popsicles for students at Open House and Field Day • flower sale for students
Host the following events for students, staff, and families: • Summer Reading Breakfast • Trunk or Treat • Food Drive
• Bingo Night • Players Family Night • Garden Party • Orioles Game • Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week • Flower Sale
• Donuts with Grown-Ups • 5 th Grade Ice Cream Social • 5th Grade Farewell
