About the Department

The Department came into existence in the year 1963. Department has one permanent faculty along with one guest faculty. The syllabus of the affiliated university empowers the students to become good citizen and also develops human values along with competitive spirit Every year approximately about 10 percent of the student perceive higher education in political science and 20 percent of the student will appear for competitive exams.

VISION

The Vision of the Department of Political Science is to realize the vision of the Institution. It is intended to develop the required learning skills, deploy and apply the critical thinking of students to discharge their obligations as a responsible citizen. The prescribed curriculum helps to understand to the students about the operation of the governments at the local, State and National level based on principles and expectations of the people.

MISSION

The Department adopt following objectives to realize the vision

course provides detailed theoretical and practical knowledge about the key concept about State, Sovereignty, Rights Duties, liberty and justice.

Empowers students about working of Indian Federalism in our secular democracy.

The course tries to inculcate the values and ideals of different political thinkers of ancient and Modern times.

Students are equipped in the classroom about the cross cutting issues along with teaching, student’s seminar, tests, assignments and project work and thereby develops the required learning skills, apply and deploy the critical thinking and evaluation from local to national level.

The out come of the political science leads to students to understand how the government express the will of the people into its policies and carried out.
