About the Library
Welcome to the Smt. Gopikabai Bhure Mahila Mahavidyaalya, Library. Initially, it is setup in 1990. It supports to teaching, research and extension programme of the Institute. All the students, faculty members, research scholars and employees of the Institute make use of the library facilities which are available in it.
Over the past 30 years the library has emerged as the leading library in the field of Humanities. It is well - equipped with a large collection of books, periodicals, journals and Audio - visual resources which are required for teaching learning process and to cater the different information, which needed for the students and staff.
Total collection of the college library is 3940 including references, text and other books. The library constantly enriches itself by subscribing to the research based journals, popular magazines and peer reviewed journals. At present, it subscribes 12 periodicals including magazines, journals and newspapers.
The library is constantly enriched and new material is added to keep abreast with latest changes and advancements in the field of Humanities. Total area of the library is 75.77 sq.mts.
Library Timing
The library remains open on all the working days except Sundays and notified public holidays.
The opening hours of the Library are from 8.30 a.m to 3.30 p.m
All Library services are provided from 8.15 a.m to 3.15 p.m

Library Rules
Use of the Library & Library Material
Library members are requested to make entry (Name & Signature) in attendance register.
All books and journals must be returned on before the due date.
Books are required to be presented physically at the Counter for renewal.
Members must show their Library Card on entering the Library, while borrowing books and journals and at any time if asked to do so by the Library Staff.
A Non-member can use the library material on the premises with the permission of the Principal.
Readers should not mark, underline, dog-ear mark, write, tear pages or damages the Library documents.
Strict silence, decorum and discipline must be maintained in the Library.
Member should behave properly in the Library and must not damage library property or disturb other members.
Eating, sleeping and talking loudly are strictly prohibited in the Library.
Newspapers and magazines must be read only in the Library and should not be taken to any other areas.
No Library material can be taken out of the library without permission.
Anyone who violates the rules and regulations of the library would be liable to lose the privilege of Library Membership.
