Recommendations
1. Incentivize more companies to implement sustainability programs by demonstrating its social as well as financial benefits.
2. Consider the effect of systemic changes in the agricultural sector (e.g., water regulations) on the profitability of farmers, and provide appropriate support.
3. Link corporations with universities to do the R&D work that can be brought to the market by the private sector.
[1] With regards to fish, consumers in the KSA must eat fish at least twice a week in order to make production profitable (National Aquaculture Group (NAQUA)).
