The 2023 B.R.A.I.N. Symposium is a great opportunity for undergraduate student researchers to showcase the latest research being conducted at the University of Texas at El Paso. This event will allow the next generation of scientists to promote scientific curiosity among the UTEP and El Paso community and help them gain confidence in the work they have dedicated.
As a Post-doctoral Fellow, Dr. Ramos investigates the effects of psychedelic drugs on somatic senses; however, like most of us, his journey into the science was accompanied by many challenges. As a formerly incarcerated adolescent, and a middle school expellee, Dr. Ramos shares his unlikely trajectory into science in a special lecture.
Requirements:
Must be a UTEP undergraduate student
Must have a research project
Research does not have to be neuroscience-based
Sign-ups will open in March 2024!
