"When someone usually thinks of a rose, the first things that come to mind are love, desire, and affection. Through this glass painting, I want to show a different side of the rose: the side that represents hope and a newfound growth.
Dealing with addiction or substance use can usually result in the struggle of mental health, where the brain can feel a little bit grey. Painting the brain a series of grayscale colors show the hardships that come with keeping a good mental health. Amid all the greyness however, it’s important to remember that there’s still a splash of color waiting to grow. Through my piece of artwork, I wish to convey the hope that involves perseverance and strength. Always remember that kind of hope still exists. You just need to look for a way to let it bloom. "

"Illuminating yet foreseeable, the herd's true colors once again exposed. Survival in our time comes by any means. A silent lamentation ponders and reflects behind each of our masks."

"The deserts of Mexico and the borderland are dense with sotol, agave, and maguey. Spirits and other libations crafted from their fermented bodies have been consumed for thousands of years. Of the many gods associated with pulque, the fermented sap of the maguey plant, macuiltochtli is most equated with drunkenness and excessive consumption, and its usually unintended consequences. This surreal piece evokes the unquantifiable loneliness and alienation of intoxication."
