News Suggestions Did You Know? Archives
Established in 1969 and based in Johannesburg, Science Fiction and Fantasy South Africa (SFFSA) is a club for fans of both science fiction and fantasy. Membership benefits include monthly meetings, annual mini-conventions, an extensive library, a quarterly Probe fanzine, the Nova short story competition, and much more! International and national members are more than welcome.
Join us for a “real human” perspective by Digby Ricci once again entertaining us with a talk entitled "Brave New World". This novel by Aldous Huxley is a dystopian novel set in a futuristic London, in the year 632 A.F. (After Ford, or 2540 AD), where a totalitarian World State has engineered a seemingly perfect society based on the pillars of "Community, Identity, Stability".
Afterwards we will be heading again to the Mozambik at Ferndale on Republic (the old Randburg Waterfront) for supper; this will be for the member’s account. Please can you let us know if you will be joining us for the dinner.
