Registration
Registration will be conducted via ForensicsTournament.net (FTN). Individual events will be performed and judged asynchronously, while debate rounds will be through the Yaatly platform. (Schools participating in individual events only will not need to create Yaatly accounts.)
Initial Registration Due: Monday, January 24, 2022, at 5:00 p.m.
For individual events, all videos must be uploaded to FTN by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 25. No changes will be allowed after that time.
For debate, changes accepted without charge until Wednesday, January 26 at 5:00 p.m. Each change after that period will be $15.
Fees
School fee: Waived this year
IE entries: $2 per entry
NPDA and Team IPDA entries: $30 per entry
IPDA entries: $15 per entry
Please make all checks to MSU Foundation (put "312905" in the subject line). Payment via Venmo also accepted. Contact Cheryl Chambers for information.)
(Normally, the host institution is responsible for all expenses in hosting SFC. Though there is no traditional "host" this year, there are still expenses. Mississippi State Debate has agreed to take on the expense of hosting this year's event and will therefore receive the registration fees.)Judges
We are requiring all entries to be covered. All judges are obligated for the entire tournament. One judge may cover each of the following:
Six (6) individual event entries
Two (2) Team IPDA teams
Either two (2) NPDA teams or (2) IPDA competitors (but not both)
Judges and competitors must provide email addresses in FTN to receive ballots. Providing cell phone numbers is STRONGLY encouraged. Coaches should ensure that all emails are verified within FTN. (For privacy reasons, FTN does not reveal email addresses to tournament administrators; therefore, coaches should double-check to ensure this information is accurate.)
There is no option for uncovered entries. However, if you have qualified IE or NPDA judge and no IE or NPDA entries, please contact the tournament director to discuss an arrangement to help cover entries.
