Salesforce Digital Experience Cloud Sites Manager (the “Extension”) is a browser extension that helps Salesforce administrators publish, activate, deactivate, and selectively manage Digital Experience sites from Salesforce Setup.
Salesforce authentication information: the current Salesforce authentication cookie/session for the Salesforce org where the user is already signed in.
Salesforce site information: Digital Experience site identifiers, names, URLs, statuses, template information, and Salesforce operation/job results returned by Salesforce APIs.
Current Salesforce page context: the current Salesforce Setup URL is used to determine whether the Extension should display its management interface and which Salesforce org/API host should receive requests.
Local preferences: whether the Extension panel is collapsed and whether the user has acknowledged the Extension’s privacy notice.
The Salesforce authentication session is used only to authenticate user-requested Salesforce API operations, including loading the site list, publishing sites, changing site status, and checking publish-job status.
Salesforce site information is used only to display site-management information in the Extension interface and to carry out actions selected by the user. The current Salesforce page context is used only to display the Extension on the relevant Salesforce Setup page and determine the matching Salesforce API endpoint. Local preferences are used only to remember the Extension’s interface state and privacy acknowledgement.
The Extension does not persist Salesforce authentication cookies or session tokens in Chrome storage, extension files, or developer-controlled servers. Authentication information is used in memory as needed for Salesforce requests.
Site information and operation results are displayed in the current browser page and remain only for the active page/session unless Salesforce itself retains the underlying operation records.
The Extension stores only local preferences in chrome.storage.local. These preferences remain on the user’s device until the user clears extension storage or removes the Extension.
The Extension does not send Salesforce authentication information, site information, browsing information, or operation results to the Extension developer, advertising services, analytics providers, data brokers, or other third-party servers.
Information required to perform a requested operation is transmitted directly between the Extension and Salesforce over HTTPS. Salesforce’s handling of information is governed by the user’s or organization’s relationship with Salesforce and Salesforce’s applicable terms and privacy policies.
The Extension does not contain advertising or third-party analytics. It does not sell, rent, license, or otherwise transfer user data for advertising, profiling, credit, or data-broker purposes.
The Extension’s use of user data is limited to providing and supporting its disclosed single purpose: managing Salesforce Digital Experience sites from Salesforce Setup. The Extension’s data practices are intended to comply with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Salesforce requests are made over HTTPS. Authentication information is not logged or intentionally exposed in the Extension interface. The Extension requests only the Chrome permissions and Salesforce host access needed for its site-management functions.
Before the Extension first loads Salesforce site information, it displays a privacy notice explaining how the Salesforce authentication session and site information are used. The user must choose Continue & Load Sites before the Extension accesses the Salesforce session for API requests.
Users can stop the Extension from operating at any time by disabling or uninstalling it in Chrome.
If the Extension’s data practices materially change, this policy and the Extension’s disclosures will be updated before the changed practices are introduced.
