Terms & Conditions
In order to confirm and secure your booking, a non-refundable deposit of 50% must be paid.
Upon making this deposit the client is agreeing to the following conditions:
Bookings are made on a first come first serve basis, however, this applies to who pays to secure the booking first.
Clients are to make full payment by the day before the photo/video shoot or event. Shooting will be postponed to a later date should payment not be made by the designated date.
No photographs or videos will be released before payment is made in full.
Photograph packages cannot be split between two or more people, however, group shoots are more than welcome and a total of 4 solo photos are included in group shoots.
Group or family shoots with more than five people are subject to higher rates.
Payment for events are to be made in full before the day of the event. Should payment fail to be made by the designated date, the booking shall be canceled and deposit forfeited, unless otherwise specified in writing by Seven Seconds of Bliss.
If the client cancels or fails to attend their photo/video shoot, their deposit and travel fee will be forfeited. If the client's event is canceled, the package can be transferred to another event or the deposit is forfeited.
Due to extensive hours involved in our preparation for events, seating is to be provided for the photographers and videographers at all events.
Should guests at the event like individual photographs taken, they are more than welcome to request it after the main event is over and once all official photographs are done. Guests can be billed separately from the client's package, if requested by the client.
If the client, for any reason, chooses to not take the photographs/video from the shoot, then the client's full payment and travel fee will be forfeited.
If, for any reason, payment isn't made by the full payment due date, there will be an interest of 10% per month of the outstanding amount from the day after the above stipulated date.
If the client chooses to postpone their photo/video shoot, they have a maximum of 6 weeks in which to claim their shoot before their deposit is forfeited.
We are not liable for any loss/damage of client property during shoots/events.
The client will be responsible for any loss/damages caused by guests/clients.
If the client is not at the location of the shoot at the designated start time, the client is allowed a maximum of 15 minutes in which to arrive at the location before we continue with the next client or leave the location. Full payment will be forfeited.
Should an event go beyond the allocated time (whether or not the event starts late), the client will be billed at a rate of R500 per hour starting from the 1st hour exceeded. This fee excludes the price of extra photos or video coverage which will be invoiced afterwards.
All photos/videos are selected by the Seven Seconds of Bliss. If there are extra photos/video, a separate quote will be provided.
The following terms and conditions apply to extra photos taken by the client:
If the client chooses to take extra photographs or extend video coverage the extra photos/video footage will be priced according to the package that the client initially purchased.
Should the client choose to take extra photographs/video footage, it is to be paid for before the commencement of editing.
Once a client specifies that they would like to purchase extra photographs/video, the client is obligated to pay for all extra photographs/video once confirmation is made of the extra photos.
Photos and Video footage will only be worked on once full payment is made (inclusive of all extra photographs and video footage), and it will be worked on after all other paid for client orders are processed.
The following are the terms and conditions applied to our specials and promotions:
If a deposit is made for a special and the client postpones the shoot, the client may only be granted another slot within the special period if there is an available slot after all other interested clients have confirmed their slots.
If the client cannot acquire a slot within the special’s running period, the client's deposit will be valid till the second week into the next month. The shoot will, however, be under normal photo shoot rates and not those of the special.
Special packages do not apply for event photography unless otherwise specified in writing.
Any free, sponsored or charity photos and videos will contain our logo/watermark. This includes partial sponsorships.
The unrestricted right and permission forever to copyright and use, re-use, publish, and republish photographic portraits, video footage or pictures of me (the client) or in which I (the client) may be included intact or in part, composite or distorted in character or form, without restriction as to changes or transformations in conjunction with my own or a fictitious name, or reproduction hereof in colour or otherwise, made through any and all media now or hereafter known for illustration, art, promotion, advertising or any other purpose whatsoever, provided that the direct act of Seven Seconds of Bliss does not fall within the lines of pornography or defame the client, belongs to Seven Seconds of Bliss.
The client also gives permit the use of any text material in connection therewith.
The client relinquishes any right that they may have to examine or approve the completed product or products or the advertising copy or printed matter that may be used in conjunction therewith or the use to which it may be applied.
The client hereby release, discharge and agree to save harmless the Photographer/Videographer (Seven Seconds of Bliss), his/her heirs, legal representatives or assigns, and all persons functioning under his/her permission or authority, or those for whom he/she is functioning, from any liability by virtue of any blurring, distortion, alteration, optical illusion, or use in composite form whether intentional or otherwise, that may occur or be produced in the taking of said picture or in any subsequent processing thereof, as well as any publication thereof, including without limitation any claims for libel or invasion of privacy.
Under no circumstance is the logo of Seven Seconds of Bliss to be removed, covered, cut out or cropped out of an image/video.
All images and video footage produced by Seven Seconds of Bliss may be uploaded on to the social media platforms and websites of Seven Seconds of Bliss, unless otherwise specified in writing.
Editing or altering of images and video footage produced by Seven Seconds of Bliss is strictly prohibited.
It is the clients responsibility to ensure that all required footage/ photos are captured within the allocated time frame.
Once the final photos or videos are completed, any alterations or edits will be billed for separately.
Vouchers and specials are valid for 30 days from the date of purchase unless otherwise stated in writing.
These terms and conditions are subject to change without notice.
Kindly be aware that these terms are subject to negotiation, deletion or addendum, which may be valid if handwritten on this release and initialed and dated by both parties (the photographer and client) next to the modification or any modification that is typed and signed by both parties.
