The single entered music charts in over fifty territories and topped rankings in India, Latvia, Malaysia, and Singapore. It debuted atop the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States and the Global 200, becoming both Jungkook and Latto's first number-one. It also topped Billboard's Hits of the World charts in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, South Korean, Philippines, and Taiwan.

On June 29, 2023, Big Hit Music announced via Weverse that Jungkook's single "Seven" would be released on July 14, 2023. [5] Prior to the digital single's release, "Still with You" and "My You" were made available on streaming services such as Spotify and Apple Music on July 3, 2023. Both songs were previously only available on SoundCloud or YouTube.[6] On July 7, concept photos and a short film were released. This was followed by the official music video teaser on July 13.[7]

An accompanying music video, directed by Bradley & Pablo,[62] was released alongside the song and features South Korean actress Han So-hee as Jungkook's girlfriend. Chronicling an entire week (in reference to the song's lyrics), the video depicts Jungkook comedically attempting to win back Han's affection, often to her annoyance.

Does anyone know the name / artist / where to find the ambient music used in The Seven? As I told my fiance, it gets under my skin, but in a good way. It's gonna drive me crazy until I find it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The massive success of "Seven" is even more apparent when considering that another version of the music video, labeled the official performance video, also debuted inside the top 10. This secondary upload impressively secured the seventh spot on YouTube's weekly global chart with 16.1 million views. Both versions of "Seven" feature rapper Latto, who deserves credit for contributing to the song's triumph alongside Jung Kook.

With such an overwhelming number of views garnered by the different "Seven" videos, it comes as no surprise that the track has been opening high on music charts around the world. Already it has achieved top 10 starts on multiple global rankings, including in the U.K., Australia, Ireland, and New Zealand, among others.

This is a first for Seven Songs. With music all around us, and Mandy and Hilary and a guitar right here, how could we resist? For our second screening we decided to take a risk and do a documentary singalong with the audience.

They will be stopping along the way for refreshment, and will play music wherever they stop, regardless of whether anyone has asked them to do so. The only way to cease them playing will be to put money into their cake tin.

"Their sinister ethno-funk industrial-dub blueprint remains an essential listen and their suspicion of commercial success seems both quaint and prophetic. Since 1979 they have wed ancient Eastern and African interests to a restlessly modern tribal angst. The group took the opportunity to confound expectations whenever possible and created an uncompromising and seminal musical identity: check the extent of their imitators. In the process, 23 Skidoo illustrated how to retain relevance and integrity when threatened by hazardously close brushes with success in the music biz. Never a dance band, their music has always resembled the neo-primitive urgings of a gang of aesthetes wandering a post-apocalyptic urban desert. Once again, LTM's fabulous liner notes would be worth the price of this set even if the discs were blank" (Brainwashed, 11/2008)

"Skidoo's preserve was a spooked, pseudo-primitive dance music, venturing with machete drawn into the murky jungle betwixt gloom and groove. Seldom imitated, it still sounds starkly original. 9 out of 10" (Uncut, 04/2012)

This classic album from 1973 saw its creator, Lee 'Scratch' Perry exploring synths and starting to develop his Black Ark sound - the enigmatic producer was at the time in the process of building his famous studio and honing his ideas about dub as a musical form.

In 1961, Jazz guitarist Al Caiola reached no. 35 on the Hot 100 with his orchestra-backed cover of the song. (For Western music super-fans, the record was reprinted in 1962 with the Bonanza theme song on the B-side.)

This Tuesday saw fifteen RGS musicians from Year Seven, perform and delight audiences with a superb online concert. Viewers tuned in via Google Meet at 7pm to watch talented soloists (each performing remotely) entertain with a wide repertoire of musical treats.

The audience enjoyed performances from four young singers: Harriet Murphy presenting four songs from Gaelic Blessing, Elizabeth Kaleniuk singing Homeward Bound, Daisy Atkins performing That Would Be Enough from the musical Hamilton and Elsie-Rose Lyons with a rendition of Slipping Through My Fingers by ABBA. All singers were poised and careful in their performances, singing with rounded and confident tones befitting their chosen songs. 2351a5e196
