At Sevakalpak  App, your privacy is very important to us. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use our mobile application and related services.

1. Collection and Use of Personal Data

To provide our services and improve user experience, we collect the following information:

• Registration Information: When a user or service provider registers, we collect their Name, Contact, Aadhar, Address,  Area, Services ,Category  and Profile Photo to create and manage the account.

• Location Data: Used to show nearby services or help service providers reach users accurately (with permission).

• Service Booking Details: We collect data like selected service type (electrician, plumber, etc.), booking date/time, and location for processing requests.

• Profile Information: Users and service providers can update their profile info anytime.

2. Permissions Required

• Location Access: To connect users with nearby service providers.

•     Storage Access (Vendors Only):
        Required only during vendor registration, to upload: Service-related images (e.g., electrician tools, tailoring samples) Profile logo or business image. The app does not use storage access for downloading any files.

• Phone/Call Access:
  When a user clicks the "Call" button on a service provider's profile, the app redirects the user to the phone dialer on their mobile device with the provider’s number auto-filled.
  The app does not make calls automatically or access call logs.

3. Payment Information

The Sevakalpak App does not handle or collect any online payment information. All payments for services booked through the app (e.g., electricians, plumbers, tailors) are handled offline, directly between the user and the service provider at the time of service.

We do not store or process any credit card, UPI, or banking details.

4. Third-Party Services

The Sevakalpak App does not use third-party advertising, tracking, or analytics tools.

However, we use location APIs to enhance functionality:

• Map/Location Services: We use device GPS and third-party APIs to retrieve the user's current latitude and longitude. This is used to:

  • Calculate the distance between the user's location and the service provider (vendor)

  • Help show nearby vendors more accurately

Location data is used only during active sessions and is not stored or shared with any third parties.

All location access is strictly permission-based and used only for improving the service experience.

• Authentication / OTP Providers:
  We use third-party OTP services to verify mobile numbers during user login. When a user logs in, an OTP is sent to their phone number for verification. This process ensures security and prevents unauthorized access.
  Mobile numbers are shared temporarily and securely with the OTP provider only for verification purposes.

We ensure that all third-party services used in the app follow privacy and security standards.

5. Data Security

• At Sevakalpak, we take the security of your personal information seriously.

• Data Encryption: All sensitive information is encrypted both in transit and at rest using industry-standard encryption protocols.

• Secure Authentication: We use secure login systems and OTP-based verification to prevent unauthorized access to user accounts.

• Access Controls: Only authorized personnel have access to user data, and access is granted strictly on a need-to-know basis.

• Regular Security Reviews: We regularly monitor and update our systems to address potential vulnerabilities and maintain strong security standards.

Additionally:

• If a user requests deletion of their account or personal data, we will process the request promptly in accordance with applicable laws. Once verified, all associated data will be permanently deleted from our servers.

• Your data is never shared with unauthorized third parties and is stored securely to prevent misuse or unauthorized access by others.

While we strive to protect your information, please understand that no system is completely immune to risk. We recommend that users also follow good security practices (such as not sharing login details) to help safeguard their data.

We take age restrictions seriously:

• We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under the age of 18.

• The Sevakalpak App is intended only for adult users and service providers.

• We do not approve or allow account registration for anyone below 18 years of age.

If we become aware that someone under 18 has created an account or provided personal information, we will take immediate steps to delete that data and deactivate the account.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. All updates will be posted with the latest “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the app indicates your agreement with any changes.
