Seussical Jr. Audition Hub

Welcome to the Audition Hub! 

Here is where you will find everything needed for auditions including dates, times, acting sides, vocal audition cuts, and  other general information. 

Audition Information

Actors between the ages of 8 and 13 ON DATE OF AUDITION are eligible to audition. 

Auditions will take place at the Franklin Elementary School from 9:30AM-12:30PM and 1:30PM-3:30PM on June 29th.

Please choose one time slot to audition.  We ask that you only come to one audition time slot. If you cannot attend this audition date, please contact one of our directors listed on the home page of the hub. 

Participation Fee

There is a $30 fee to participate in Seussical Jr. - a $25 participation/costume fee and a $5 Footliters' membership fee. If you are already a member of Footliters, your fee will only be $25. If this fee is a hardship, we have Footliters Youth scholarship money available for those who need assistance.  If assistance is needed, please contact one of the directors. 

Commitment and Attendance 

Being part of a theatre production is an amazing experience!  

Being part of a theatre production is also a significant time commitment for an actor, an actor's family and our volunteer production team.  We understand summer and the start of the school year are busy times for everyone, and we understand there will be a few conflict dates for all of our actors, but we do ask that you please review the rehearsal calendar carefully to determine if this production schedule works with your family schedule. 

 The rehearsal schedule is subject to change, but generally will remain consistent.  The link to the calendar can be found here:  Seussical Jr. Rehearsal Calendar 

• All known conflicts must be written on the Conflict Sheet provided to each student at auditions and returned to the production team at the first rehearsal. 

• Because of the collaborative nature of a theatre production, excessive conflicts or unexcused rehearsal absences may require the production team to reassign role(s) to support the integrity of the production and the preparation process for the entire cast. 

• In the case of emergencies and last-minute illnesses please contact one of the directors. 

• Attendance during all tech rehearsals and all performances is required for ALL CAST.  

• All students will be required to sign into rehearsals and parents are required to sign their actor out at the end of rehearsal.  Please be respectful of rehearsal times and make sure your actor is dropped off and picked up timely.

Below are a few additional resources to help you prepare for auditions. The character sheet has a complete list of the characters in Seussical to help you decide which part you would like to audition for. As also stated in the audition form, auditioning for a character does not guarantee you will be cast in this role, you may be cast in a role you did not audition for, AND you may be cast as more than one role. In addition to the character sheet, there is an audition prep sheet attached to help you understand what all an audition entails as well as give you the materials we ask you prepare for your audition.
