The BISION (Bio-Integrative Science In Ocular Neuroregeneration) lab by S. Rho seeks the multidisciplinary strategies to tackle total blindness by harmonising state-of-the-art bio-technology designed for neuro-regeneration and eye transplantation. We analyse dendritic arborisation amid neurodegenerative processes in the eye. We develop animal models and assess retinal ganglion cells(RGC) using the DiOlistic method. Our main focus is currently on how we can deliver specific molecules, such as nicotinamide, to our target cell, RGC, through extravesicular cells(EV) leading to accomplishing eye transplantation.
