Seunghan Shin

Dr. Seunghan Shin is a Principal Researcher of Korea Institute of Industrial Technology (KITECH), South Korea and also Professor of Green Process and System Engineering at University of Science and Technology (UST), South Korea.

He obtained his BS and MS in Chemical Technology from Seoul National University (SNU), South Korea in 1992 and 1994, respectively and PhD in Polymer Science from SNU in 1998.

He started his professional career at Kyushu University in Japan as a Researcher from 1998 to 1999 before joining as a Senior Researcher at KITECH. He is involved in a number of research projects on biobased chemicals and polymers. These include C3~C6 Chemicals from Biomass; Polyesters from Furan; Polycarbonates from Isosoribide; Photocurable binders from biobased chemicals.
