Welcome to the official SetRec Support Center.
SetRec is designed for DJs, producers, performers, and music enthusiasts who want an easy way to capture and save their live DJ sets directly from compatible DJ equipment.
Whether you're recording a club performance, festival set, practice session, radio mix, or a set at home, SetRec is built to make recording your performance simple and convenient.
Connect your compatible DJ mixer or audio equipment to your iPhone using the appropriate audio connection and adapter.
Before starting a recording, make sure your equipment is properly connected and that your mixer is outputting an audio signal.
Launch SetRec on your iPhone and make sure the app has the necessary permissions to access your device's audio input.
Before recording your full set, we recommend performing a short test recording.
Play audio through your mixer and confirm that SetRec is receiving the signal correctly.
Once everything is connected and your audio levels look good, start your recording in SetRec.
You can then perform your set normally while SetRec captures the audio.
When your set is complete, stop the recording and save it to your device.
Your recorded sets can then be accessed and shared using the options available on your iPhone.
If SetRec isn't detecting your DJ mix, try the following:
Make sure your audio cable is securely connected.
Confirm that your mixer is powered on.
Check that the correct output is being used on your mixer.
Make sure your mixer is producing an audio signal.
Disconnect and reconnect the audio connection.
Close and reopen SetRec.
Restart your iPhone if necessary.
We also recommend testing your setup with a short recording before beginning an important performance.
If a recording contains no audio, first verify that SetRec was receiving an audio signal before starting the recording.
Check your mixer output, cable connections, adapters, and device permissions.
If the issue continues, restart the app and perform another short test recording.
Recording levels are affected by the output level of your DJ equipment.
Before recording a full set, monitor your audio levels and adjust the output from your mixer as needed.
Avoid excessively high output levels, as they can cause distortion or clipping in the recording.
A short test recording is recommended before every important performance.
For the best possible recording experience, we recommend:
Testing your setup before your performance.
Using high-quality audio cables and adapters.
Making sure your iPhone has sufficient storage space.
Closing unnecessary apps before recording.
Keeping your iPhone connected to power for longer recording sessions when possible.
Monitoring your mixer levels throughout your set.
Making a short test recording before recording a full performance.
