My work lives at the intersection of creativity and complexity — where highly technical ideas find their visual voice. As a Production Manager within Microsoft’s Quantum program, I collaborate with scientists, engineers, and designers to translate cutting-edge quantum research into stories people can see, feel, and understand. Whether developing interactive experiences, orchestrating 3D animations, or managing vendor teams, I bring creative structure to deeply technical narratives, ensuring every detail supports clarity, accuracy, and emotional resonance.
My role bridges the divide between subject matter experts and the creatives who bring their breakthroughs to life. It’s a space that demands both curiosity and precision — the ability to interpret scientific language, shape a visual metaphor, and build the systems that allow teams to work in sync. From vendor selection and budgeting to asset production and delivery, I lead projects that merge art, science, and storytelling into unified, impactful experiences.
Before joining Microsoft, I spent several years at Google leading creative production for the gUP content team — producing global launch and learning campaigns for Pixel and other flagship products. Partnering with internal motion designers and external studios, I helped craft scalable workflows and creative pipelines that balanced speed, quality, and innovation across dozens of languages and markets.
I’m driven by the pursuit of work that connects people to complex ideas through design — building bridges between technical insight and creative expression. For me, great creative direction is about more than aesthetics; it’s about making meaning tangible, inspiring understanding, and giving form to the invisible.

Workflow Optimization Initiatives
TextLink After Effects Script:
Objective: Streamline the localization process for motion design assets.
Coding Initiative:
Recognizing a bottleneck in the localization process, learned basic JavaScript and ExtendScript coding to allow for the creation of a customized localization utility.
Script Development:
Developed the TextLink After Effects script from scratch, addressing various issues in the localization process and incorporating advanced functionality.
Functionality Highlights:
Processes both static and motion assets, identifies missing project text versus csv ingest text strings, and automates output versioning.
Enables user variable inputs and provided feedback throughout the localization and linking pipeline.
User Support:
Created a comprehensive user guide outlining the tool's functionalities to support users.
Pilot Success:
Successfully piloted the localization script, resulting in approximately 85%-90% reduction in total resolution time for a mid-tier requests involving 5-10 one-minute videos across eight languages.
Layers to Artboards Illustrator Script:
Objective: Enhance the workflow of motion designers working with Illustrator artboards containing multiple layers.
Coding Initiative:
Design team identified a workflow bottle neck in that all style sheets for a storyboard needed to be on a single artboard in order to efficiently transfer their contents to an After Effects project. This workflow does not allow for the designers to see all style frames at once, in context, so they would have to switch between layers to see each style frame.
Script Development:
Developed the Layers to Artboards Illustrator script to convert individual Illustrator layers into symbols, placing them on separate artboards with matching names. Each artboard would be offset from the previous and would contain the symbol for the layer it represents. All layers still remain intact on the primary artboard, allowing for ease of export.
Workflow Improvement:
Allowed for designers to view all storyboard layers simultaneously and make modifications through the symbol element, maintaining a single artboard multi-layer stack.
Facilitated asset tracking throughout the animation workflow, enhancing traceability and organization.
MarkerMaster Script:
Objective: Automate the setup process for a 'trigger with markers' animation expression in After Effects.
Coding Initiative:
Design team use of the trigger with markers expression was not be adequately leveraged. The creation and modification of markers was impeding the workflow, so a marker script was requested.
Script Creation:
Developed the MarkerMaster script to automate the setup process for a 'trigger with markers' animation expression.
Functionality Highlights:
Enabled the 'trigger with markers' expression for a control composition, allowing multi-layer and multi-animation sources to be called based on associated action layer labels.
Offered various functions, including selecting preset marker names, creating custom named markers, forming marker groups for sets of animation markers, and shifting or removing markers within a specified range.
Potential Impact:
The MarkerMaster script was developed and launched but did not receive a comprehensive analysis or design review. It did however show significant potential to impact workflow efficiency by allowing streamlined access to action layer markers and therefor to the underlying animation tracks.
The use case shows that this setup, when applied to projects with redundant animations, such as user interface interactions with repeated trigger animations; such as clicks, drags, taps, and holds, would be significantly optimized both at time of creation, as well as upon execution of requested revisions. Unfortunately the optimization scale is nearly impossible to estimate due to the number of associated factors; such as number of animation layers, complexity of animations, number of repetitions of animations, and more.
Design System Development and Unification
Artistic Mastery and Design Expertise:
Dedicated to advancing my expertise in art and design, I continually engage in the study and practical application of diverse mediums, including 3D modeling, vector illustration, and traditional drawing, inking, and painting techniques. Seth is, without a doubt, a remarkable professional who personifies the Japanese principle of kaizen - a relentless pursuit of improvement. I had the privilege of working alongside Seth for nearly four years, during which he played a pivotal role in meeting Google's global, multimedia delivery needs. His dedication to our work and team consistently set a high bar for my own development as a leader and organizational designer.
When faced with the directive to scale rapidly, Seth not only hired and onboarded eight new designers over the course of two years but also meticulously planned and executed improved workflows to accommodate our increased workloads. Remarkably, he achieved all of this while continuously elevating the quality of our work and reducing turnaround times for motion deliverables.
Seth currently leads a team of five designers supporting multiple verticals across Google. His leadership is defined by a genuine commitment to the mutual success of all stakeholders, framed around leveraging each team member's strengths and expertise.
One of his most notable achievements was developing an Adobe After Effects script from scratch, which revolutionized our localization workflow. This innovative solution drastically reduced the time required to translate complex videos and UI assets into multiple languages, from weeks to a matter of hours. Seth identified a need and created a robust, scalable solution, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to both learning and also process improvement.
Given the depth of his technical abilities and the breadth of his knowledge in rich media content strategy, production, and publishing strategies, I wholeheartedly believe that Seth would be an outstanding addition to your team, whether as a Creative Director, Lead Producer, or Lead Technical Artist. If you would like to learn more or discuss his experiences on specific Google projects, please feel free to contact me directly.
I have had the pleasure of working with Seth Jensen as my producer for several projects over the past two years. He is not only attentive and communicative, but also proactive and hands-on. He has helped me with reviewing animations, provided art direction when I’ve needed it, and he has created tools for me when I needed something specific to improve my workflow. For example, he once made a custom script for me that automated a tedious marker setup in After Effects. His scripts have saved me hundreds of hours on various projects and his support has helped make our projects shine. He is my favorite producer to work with because he always goes the extra mile to ensure the quality and efficiency of our work. He’s so much more than a producer that checks in and assigns tasks. He is there every step of the way to ensure my success and help me be the best animator I can be.
