In little villages like Brejão, Zambujeira do Mar, or Entrada da Barca we find restaurants with local gastronomy, especially the amazing grilled fish and delicious seafood right from the coast. There are a few supermarkets and some farmers' markets selling local products.

This region in the summer draws a great number of tourists and reaches full capacity. The weather is thoroughly enjoyable from spring to autumn. There is more rain in the winter with a few cold days when we hide inside by the fire.

Its a wonderfull region to enjoy in the spring when the warmer days start. It's very green and teaming with wild flowers and birds. The beaches are empty - existing only for us - to enjoy a full breath of pure ocean breeze mixed with the smell of the helychrise plants. I know of nothing better!
