This course provides students with the essential skills and knowledge to install, configure, maintain, and repair computer systems and networks. This course teaches students how to set-up computer networks.  Students will gain comprehensive knowledge and skills in several key areas; They will learn about various LAN cable types (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optic, coaxial), their applications, and proper installation techniques, including crimping RJ45 connectors.  The course emphasizes the importance of proper cabling for network reliability and includes instruction on safe and efficient network cable installation.  Students will also master network configuration, covering IP addressing, subnetting, DNS, and DHCP, with practical experience configuring these elements.  Furthermore, they will learn to set up and configure routers and WiFi networks independently, understanding the importance of a well-configured network.  Finally, the course will equip students with troubleshooting skills using various network inspection tools, enabling them to proactively inspect, test, and troubleshoot network issues.  Upon completion, students will be proficient in setting up, configuring, and maintaining basic computer networks.
