This document describes our policies and procedures on the collection, use, and disclosure of your information when you use the Sesame PS App. By using the Sesame PS App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
1. Interpretation
Throughout this document,
the word "Sesame PS" and "Sesame PS App" refer to the application offered in the App Store that is named "Sesame PS."
the words "you" and "your" refer to the user of the Sesame PS App.
the word "our" refers to the Sesame PS App.
2. Types of Data Collected
Sesame PS App requires the user to provide an email address during account registration. The email address must be bona fide, which is validated by Sesame PS when completing the registration process. Alias or pseudo emails that bear no relationship to users' identities are allowed (for example my-test@gmail.com), as long as users own the email addresses.
During the sign-up process, the user must create a password. This password is only for login to Sesame PS. It does not have to be the same as the user's email password.
3. Use of User Data
The email address is also used by Sesame PS to send occasional emails of product related information, such as new feature announcements, update alerts, problem resolutions, etc. Sesame PS never sends any message that is unrelated to the Sesame PS App.
The Sesame PS account authentication is supported by Google Firebase. Therefore, the username (i.e., the user's email address) and the Sesame PS password are stored in Firebase cloud service. All terms and service from Google Firebase apply in this case. Please refer to https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy for details.
Sesame PS is an application for managing user's secrets. All the secrets go through the Sesame PS App. However, the secrets always stay on the user's device. Sesame PS never sends the user's secrets to anywhere. When stored on the user's device, secrets are always encrypted.
4. Disclosure of the User's Data
Sesame PS never discloses user's email address to any party, unless it is required by law.
Sesame PS is not able to disclose any secret data on user's device, because after user sign-in, Sesame PS does not access the network.
The account email and password stored in Google Firebase are also protected against illegal disclosure. This functionality is provided by Google Cloud Firebase. Please check https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy for details.
