Play It Forward 100 Years
AND OTHER ACTIVITIES SUPPORTING THE CLASS OF 2021
AND OTHER ACTIVITIES SUPPORTING THE CLASS OF 2021
The concept of the Play It Forward 100 Years project is for the class of 1971 to encourage and equip the class of 2021 through the power of story. We will share our stories of success, failure, insight, and adventure using many formats. Our ultimate hope is that the class of 2021 will do something similar for the class of 2071. Our two classes, '71 and '21, will thus share our brotherhood 100 years forward from our graduation time.
Throughout the last four years, the Class of 1971 partnered with the Class of 2021 in many projects. Our '71 classmates participated in the Formation program, classroom talks, presentations on career choices, personal finance, how to change a flat tire, and finding life's purpose. Our hope is that '21 picks up the ball and passes it forward to future classes of Servite.
The Aspire program was spearheaded by members of the class of 2012. Members of the Class of '21 requested help with understanding personal financial matters, finding one's niche in the workplace, career choices, and how to network. Our Class of '71 members presented these topics with other alumni in class and online during the final semester of 2021.
The Class of '71 created a compendium of 3 Minute Videos called CredTalks. It is a collection of stories from our days at Servite, and also of useful wisdom dedicated to the men of 2021.
Our vision for the future is that not only will the Class of '21 play it forward, but other classes from the past 50 years, such as the class of '72, '73, etc will be inspired to partner with their younger brothers as well. We hope the interactions and shared experiences reverberate among all the classes from the start of Servite to the future of Servite, strengthening the bonds of fellowship and brotherhood, in the service of Jesus and his Mother.
