Service Masters Privacy Policy
This Policy explains what information we collect and how we use it. You have specific rights depending on where you live, described in Section 5.
This Privacy Policy describes how Service Masters ("Service Masters", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use our mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Platform"). By using the Platform, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.
Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information: identifiers (name, email, phone, account credentials, user ID, IP address, device IDs); profile information (avatar, role, biography, business name, pricing, service area, portfolio); location data (approximate and precise GPS, with permission); content you submit (service requests, photos, messages, reviews, ratings, support tickets); transaction and usage data (request history, timestamps, app events, device type, OS, app version, crash logs); sensitive information for Professionals only (government ID images, license numbers, insurance documents); and communications (in-app messages, support emails, push tokens).
2. How We Use Information
To provide and improve the Platform; create and authenticate accounts and prevent fraud; match Customers with nearby Professionals; verify Professional identity, licensing, and insurance; send transactional notifications and (where permitted) optional marketing; respond to support and resolve disputes; detect fraud or Terms violations; comply with legal obligations; and conduct analytics, typically in aggregated or de-identified form.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share between users (request and profile info as needed to match), with service providers (Supabase for auth/database, Apple/Google for push and maps, email/SMS providers), for legal/safety/compliance, in business transfers (mergers, acquisitions), and with your explicit consent.
4. Your Privacy Choices
You can access, update, or correct your profile in the app; request account deletion via Settings or by emailing service.masters@hotmail.com; revoke location, photo, or notification permissions in device settings; and unsubscribe from marketing emails.
Your Rights Under U.S. State Privacy Laws
Depending on where you live (CCPA/CPRA, VCDPA, CPA, CTDPA, UCPA, etc.) you may have rights to know/access, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit use of sensitive information, non-discrimination, and appeal a denial.
6. How to Exercise Your Rights
Email service.masters@hotmail.com from the email on file. We verify identity and respond within the timeframe required by law (generally 45 days, extendable by 45). Authorized agents are accepted with proof.
Children's Privacy
Not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect from anyone under 18, and will delete any data inadvertently collected from a child under 13 (COPPA).
8. Data Retention
Retained as long as your account is active and as required by law. Deleted or de-identified when no longer needed.
Data Security
Administrative, technical, and physical safeguards including encryption in transit, access controls, and security reviews. No system is fully secure keep your credentials confidential.
10. International Users
Operated from and intended for U.S. users. Accessing from outside the U.S. consents to U.S. transfer and processing.
Third-Party Services and Links
Maps, auth providers, and payment apps Customers/Professionals choose between themselves have their own policies review them.
12. Cookies and Tracking
The mobile app uses local device storage (Keychain, SecureStore) for tokens and preferences. No third-party advertising trackers.
Changes to This Policy
We notify users of material changes through the Platform or by email. The "last updated" date reflects the most recent revision.
