I am an undergraduate majoring in computer science and minoring in biology and statistics. I use computational and mathematical approaches to answer questions in biology. I’m interested in the origins and maintenance of biodiversity, and am currently working with Brian Lerch to model the relationship between the evolution of dispersal and speciation to test how the Intermediate Dispersal Hypothesis changes when dispersal evolves in response to selection pressures. In the future, I aim to apply my interests in ecology and evolution to characterizing microbiomes and better understanding viral evolution.
