SERP Counter Beyond 10 (“the Extension”) is a browser extension created by Souvik Dey. This Privacy Policy explains how the Extension handles user information.
1. Information We Collect
SERP Counter Beyond 10 does not require an account and does not collect personal information such as your name, email address, passwords, browsing history, or payment information.
The Extension may process information visible on supported search engine results pages, including search result URLs, titles, ranking positions, pagination information, and a URL or domain entered by the user for tracking.
2. How Information Is Used
The information processed by the Extension is used solely to provide its functionality, including:
Calculating and displaying true organic search rankings across SERP pages.
Identifying and highlighting a tracked URL or domain.
Exporting search result information to an Excel file when requested by the user.
Saving relevant preferences and locally required ranking data.
The Extension does not use this information for advertising, profiling, or user tracking.
Ranking information and Extension settings are stored locally using Chrome's storage mechanisms. The Extension does not upload this information to a remote server or database.
Users can clear stored ranking data through the Extension's interface.
Chrome synchronization may be used for supported Extension settings where enabled by Chrome. Such synchronization is governed by Google's Chrome browser and account infrastructure.
SERP Counter Beyond 10 does not sell, rent, or share user data with third parties.
The Extension does not send collected SERP information to an external analytics, advertising, or tracking service.
The Extension requires access to supported search engine pages, including Google, Bing, Yahoo, Brave Search, Ecosia, and DuckDuckGo.
This access is necessary to read search result pages, determine pagination offsets, identify organic results, calculate rankings, display ranking indicators, and track a user-specified URL or domain.
The Extension does not access unrelated websites for the purpose of collecting user information.
When the user chooses to export a SERP page, the Extension generates an Excel (.xlsx) file containing information from the relevant search results, such as ranking, company name, URL, and, when applicable, the tracked URL.
The file is generated locally by the Extension and is not uploaded to a server.
The Extension does not operate its own external data collection or analytics service. Search results are provided by the respective search engines, which have their own privacy policies and data practices.
Because ranking information and settings are processed and stored locally, the Extension is designed to minimize unnecessary transmission of user data.
Users should understand that information stored by the browser may be accessible according to the browser's own security and account settings.
The Extension is not specifically directed toward children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated if the Extension's functionality or data practices change. Any updated version will include a revised “Last Updated” date.
