I am a PostDoc at the Institute of Biomedical Ethics and Medical History of the University of Zurich. I am part of interdisciplinary teams with the research focus on human control of artificial intelligence and algorithmic fairness.
Before joining DSI, I worked at the Institute of Economic Research of the University Neuchatel, Switzerland.
I did my PhD at the Max Planck Institute of Economics (IMPRS Uncertainty Graduate School) and got my Doctorate from the Friedrich Schiller University Jena, Germany in 2015. Before coming to Neuchatel, I worked at Ruhr-University Bochum (Chair of Public Law, Legal Philosophy and Law and Economics, Prof. Stefan Magen) and at the University of Jena (Chair of Empirical and Experimental Economic Research, Prof. Oliver Kirchkamp ).
My research interests are behavioral and experimental economics, pro-social and moral behavior, experimental ethics.
In my current research I try to understand people's perceptions of algorithmic decision making.
Key words: fairness, social preferences, discrimination, artificial intelligence.
