• User Familiarized With Operation’s Manual Before Use On Patient

• User Has Proper PPE (Gloves, Mask, Disposable Containers, etc.)

• Unit Sterilization Supplies Present (Cleaning Solution, Cloths/Wipes, etc.)

• Alternative Emergency Ventilation Device Present (i.e. Rescus. Bag, etc.)

• Ample Patient Single-Use Accessories On Hand (Tubing, Filters, etc.)

• Unit Operational Environment Adequately Ventilated, Clean, & Secure

• Unit Operational Environment Clear of Flammable Anesthetics & MRI

• Essential Unit Start-Up List Inventory Present (Review Inventory)

• Essential User Level Documentation / Log Books Available As Required

• CAL Sticker Present on Unit (DA Label 2163) & Not Yet Expired

• No Visible Cracks & Tears On Unit As Well As Power Cord(s)

• Check for Battery(s) / Remove & Reset (After Error/Complete Discharge)

• Ensure Prior Patient Single Use Items Are Disposed & Replenished

• Ensure Prior Prev. Maint./ Cleaning Steps Are Followed Between Patients

• Oxygen Source (Wall/Tank) Available / Filled / Connected to Unit

• Hamilton-T1 Patient Circuit Set up

• Hamilton-T1 Power-on Startup Checks Pass / Configurations Verified

• Hamilton-T1 System Alarms Observed & Addressed

• Insert CO2 Module for Auto Warm Up (If Using CO2 module)

Hygiene

• Disconnect from External Power When Cleaning

• Do Not Re-use Prior Patient Bacterial Filters & CO2 Airway Adapters

• Consult Manual for Proper Cleaning Solutions & Steps (pgs. 10-2 to 10-9)

• Lock Touchscreen Before Cleaning (Use Proper Cleaning Solution)

• Clean Unit Exterior With Proper Solution & Avoid Cleaning Inside Unit

• Do Not Pour Liquids On Top Of Unit (Dampen Lint Free Cloth/Wipe)

• Disconnect CO2 Before Cleaning (Do Not Immerse & Clear Residue)

• Consult Manual for Proper Cleaning Solutions & Steps (pgs. 10-2 to 10-9)

• Charge Battery Often / Use External Power Often for Longer Lifespan
