We had the best experience - Gaylis is truly exceptional and she does above and beyond. From everyday activities, food, friends, to all the wonderful things she does for each kid (birthdays, photos, etc etc), I cannot think about a better place for a kid’s first few years. My son has been thriving since attending SereneCare. I love how it’s a small in-home daycare with the same kiddos so the group becomes very close and there isn’t as much sickness going around.
Gaylis really goes above and beyond as a caregiver! She sends ample photos during the day of all the fun learning activities they do and there’s always a cute craft project that they bring home each week. I especially love how inclusive her curriculum is - they explore all different kinds of cultural holidays and celebrations - and OMG the adorable photoshoot outfits - I love looking at them while I’m at work as they always make me smile.
All their meals are provided and she is great about giving them well-balanced meals with different flavors to try out. My son always gobbles them up and often asks for seconds.
I really can’t recommend this daycare and Gaylis enough. He has learned so much being here both academically and socially. I feel like he will be more than prepared for school once he graduates.

We feel blessed to have found such a nurturing and joyful daycare for our children. We have been with SereneCare since 2020 and Gaylis has become family to us. Our first son attended his entire life up until entering Kinder in 2025, and now our youngest is following suit. Gaylis has extensive experience, knowledge, and wisdom that she pours into making every day special for the children. She has so much warmth, patience, and genuine love for what she does. She is Montessori based and incorporates weekly educational themes.
Our children come home excited to show off their artwork and talking about their day with their friends. Gaylis also provides healthy balanced meals, making broccoli an all-time favorite snack! What truly sets this daycare apart is how she truly knows and celebrates each child's unique personality. She helps each child flourish with confidence, develop social skills, and fall in love with learning. The environment is clean, bright, and thoughtfully set up for exploration and play. With all our hearts, we recommend SereneCare to any parent looking for a daycare that feels like a second home.

We are currently enrolled in SereneCare, and we can’t say enough of how grateful we are that we are part of such a loving, caring in-home environment! There aren’t enough positive words to convey how great our experience was with Gaylis. Our daughter loved going every day and we always knew she was safe, loved, and having enriching experiences. If you are lucky enough to get a spot with Gaylis, don’t hesitate. She is beyond amazing. Our daughter’s start to TK was so smooth because Gaylis prepared her so well. As a parent, I always felt informed about her day. Gaylis helped us navigate milestones and welcomed our older daughter to events as well. I feel genuinely lucky that our daughter was at Serene Care.

Our daughter was incredibly well cared for at SereneCare for 3 wonderful years. We then enrolled our son there. The small size, consistent environment, and thoughtful approach to engaging children of several ages has given her a wonderful cohort of friends. Every care provider at SereneCare models the highest levels of care, dignity, and respect towards the children. In response, the small group learns to listen to, watch out for, and show respect to each other. Our daughter has thrived under the flexible structure provided. She is always engaged and learning - STEM and tons of music, art, and exercise. Plenty of imagination and pretend play occur spontaneously every day.
The meals provided are nutritious, creative, and well-planned. I love that she tries healthy and new foods there with her friends that she might not be as open to trying at home.
The attention given to health and wellness is top notch. The environment is very clean and cared for. Meals provided and great naps/rest promote health. Attention is given to the children's personal hygiene. Any minor scratch, diaper rash, or tumble (without even a bump) is fully addressed and communicated with the parent. SereneCare is an excellent observer and communicator and is constantly looking out for the children's safety and wellbeing.
What else can I say? I honestly cannot recommend it enough. In our experience, SereneCare has gone above and beyond our expectations. Most importantly to me, they truly respect and care for the children, they are dedicated, and I believe they sincerely enjoy the time spent with our children each day. They are incredibly gifted (and educated) in what they do. And it has been a gift to us.

Gaylis is the most wonderful and loving caregiver you could ask for. Our 3 year old daughter has been thriving there and we could not be happier with the love, respect, and education Gaylis has provided for her. We feel so incredibly fortunate to have her in our lives. She provides so many fun activities (both educational and fun) for the kids, sends home the sweetest artwork the kids have done and provides a very nurturing environment. The group of kids she has right now are genuinely all little best friends and I love to see the friendships that have been made (all thanks to Gaylis!) She takes them on nature walks, to the playground, and gives them lots of outdoor time to get their sillies out.
She just puts so much thought and effort into everything done! She also provides amazing snacks and meals as well! Also love the small group size and how cautious she is with germs/sickness. Basically, we can’t recommend her enough!

Where do I even begin. Gaylis has been looking after my daughter since she was 6 months old and every day we are so thankful we were lucky enough to find her and that she had a spot for us. It is a difficult transition to hand over your child at such a young age but so quickly she felt like family. She knows my daughter so well and will add personalized touches to the curriculum that she knows my daughter will enjoy. My daughter is about to turn two and knows the colors, she counts, sings the alphabet and various songs, speaks in 4-5 word sentences, picks up all her toyrs and is respectful of other children. All these things she learned at SereneCare. There is a curriclum but it is structured in the form of fun activities. The cook together, they go on walks and to the park, they identify virds in the yard, they plant flowers and look after them. Every week there is a special theme. I can tell Gaylis loves her job, she puts so much effort and to have someone that cares this much about my daughter and enjoys spending time with her is such a gift. When my daughter moves on to her next school we hope Gaylis will keep putting up with us because we never want to say goodbye.

If you want the best child care for your child then you found the right place! Gaylis is absolutely amazing! My daughter learned so much from colors to sign language to every day tasks! Gaylis kept me updated all through out the day with pictures and nap times. Did I mention she makes all her own meals for the kids?! Can't get better than that. My picky eater is no longer a picky eater!

I've known Gaylis since I was 13 years old. My mom and I both worked with Gaylis when she had a larger daycare so she's basically family (23 years of knowing her:) I moved back to Morgan Hill in 2017 and was pregnant with my second, I reached out to Gaylis (because she is the only person I trust 100%) to get a head start on the waiting list. Once my little one was 1 yr old, he attended until covid (March 2020). I miss Gaylis so much right now - she's the best!

Gaylis is an amazing lady. She has raised her own 3 talented and successful children, but she's not stopping there. She is going far beyond to help your kids be happy and get an amazing education! You can drop your kids off and just start your work routine without being worried. They're also are leaerning independence and good mannters. She always recruits the perfect helpers and finds the perfect match of kids that play and develop well together. We have had 4 children to through Gaylis' fantastic daycare service. We started in 2006 with our oldest who is now 11 and just graduated our youngest who is 3. The kids are rarely sick and are taught impeccable manners. They learn to be kind, to share with their friends, to try new foods, and to clean up. All my kids were potty trained by the time they were 2 years old. The field trips and professional quality photographs are a huge bonus at no extra cosdt. Gaylis is a very capable and creative teacher who is passionate about what she does. She recognizes and works with the strengths and talents of every child. Our children couldn't have had a better person to influence them in their early developmental years. I cannot recomment her highly enough.
