Serene Sudoku is designed with your privacy in mind. We collect minimal information to provide you with the best gaming experience:
Local Game Data (Stored on Your Device Only)
Game Progress: Your current puzzle state, difficulty level, and completion status
Game Statistics: Time taken to complete puzzles, mistake counts, and hints used
User Preferences:

Action History: Move history for the undo feature

❌ No Location Data: We do not access your GPS or location services

How We Use Your Information
All data collected by Serene Sudoku is used solely to enhance your gaming experience:
Game Continuity: Save and resume your puzzles across app sessions
Personalized Experience: Remember your preferred settings (music, sounds, difficulty)
Game Features: Enable undo functionality, hint system, and mistake checking
Progress Tracking: Display completion times and maintain game statistics
Data Storage and Security
Local Storage Only: All your game data is stored locally on your device using Kivy's secure user data directory
No Cloud Sync: Your game data never leaves your device (the separate advertising identifier described in Data Sharing above is the only exception, and only on Android)
Automatic Cleanup: Game data is automatically managed and cleaned up by the app
Platform Security: Data storage follows Windows security protocols
Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not share, sell, or transmit your personal data to third parties. The Android version has one narrow exception: an advertising click identifier (via Google Play's Install Referrer) is sent to a logging service and reported to Microsoft Advertising, solely to measure ad campaign performance. No personal information is included.
Your Privacy Rights
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control:
Access: View your game progress and settings within the app
Modify: Change settings and preferences at any time
Delete: Uninstalling the app removes all associated data
Control: No external accounts or registrations required
Children's Privacy
Serene Sudoku is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, as we don't collect personal information from any users.
Updates to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy occasionally to reflect changes in our practices. Any updates will be posted with the app update and will include a new "Last updated" date.
