Important Notice: Educational Screening, Not a Diagnosis
The diagnostic assessment provided by Sequoia Literacy Services is an educational literacy screening designed to evaluate a student’s reading-related strengths and areas of need. This assessment consists of a battery of literacy-based tests that examine skills such as phonological awareness, decoding, fluency, spelling, and comprehension.
This assessment does not constitute a medical, psychological, or clinical diagnosis of dyslexia or any other learning, developmental, or neurological condition. Only a licensed psychologist, neuropsychologist, or other qualified medical professional can provide a formal diagnosis.
Results are intended to:
Inform instruction and intervention planning
Identify areas where additional support may be beneficial
Help determine whether a referral for a full psychoeducational evaluation may be appropriate
