Sequence (“Sequence,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the Sequence app collects, uses, stores, and shares information.
Depending on the features you use and the permissions you grant, Sequence may access:
Calendar events, including titles, dates, times, notes, locations, invitees, and meeting links.
Apple Reminders, including task titles, notes, due dates, lists, identifiers, and completion status.
Tasks imported from files or optional third-party task services.
Tasks, plans, templates, meeting agendas, minutes, transcripts, notes, and action items that you create in Sequence.
Apps, websites, or categories selected for Sequence Guard.
Microphone input when you start meeting transcription.
Purchase and subscription entitlement information provided by Apple.
Sequence only requests access when you use the relevant feature. You can manage or revoke permissions through your device’s Settings.
Sequence uses information to:
Display your calendar and help organize tasks.
Create or update calendar events and reminders when you ask it to.
Schedule focus blocks, programs, routines, and notifications.
Store meeting agendas, minutes, transcripts, and action items.
Synchronize completion status with supported task services.
Display information in widgets, Live Activities, Siri, Shortcuts, and other system surfaces.
Apply Sequence Guard restrictions during scheduled focus blocks.
Provide and verify Sequence Pro features.
Respond to support requests and address technical issues.
Sequence does not sell personal information, use it for advertising, or use it for cross-app tracking.
If you grant access, Sequence reads calendar and reminder information to help you plan your day. Sequence may write calendar events or update reminder completion status when you explicitly request those actions.
Calendar and Reminders data is used only to provide the features you choose to use. Sequence does not upload this information to its own advertising, analytics, or profiling systems.
When you start transcription, Sequence uses the microphone and Apple’s on-device speech framework where supported.
Sequence does not upload meeting audio to Sequence servers. Transcripts are added to meeting notes only when the transcription is completed and saved in the app.
You are responsible for obtaining any consent required before recording or transcribing other people.
Sequence Guard uses Apple’s FamilyControls, DeviceActivity, and ManagedSettings frameworks to block selected apps, websites, or categories during scheduled blocks.
Sequence stores the information needed to manage Guard blocks and local reports. Sequence does not collect your general browsing history or unrelated app-usage history. Guard reports may include protected duration and shield interaction counts.
Sequence Pro may use Apple’s private CloudKit database to synchronize Sequence data across your devices. This may include tasks, plans, templates, meeting action items, meeting notes, and schedules.
CloudKit data is associated with your Apple account and is handled through Apple’s iCloud services. Apple’s own privacy policy and iCloud terms also apply.
If iCloud synchronization is unavailable, Sequence may continue using local device storage.
Sequence may allow you to import tasks from services such as Todoist, Microsoft To Do, Google Tasks, TickTick, Asana, ClickUp, or Trello.
If you connect one of these services:
You provide the access credential needed by that service.
The credential is stored in the iOS Keychain on your device.
In the current version, Sequence requests task data directly from the relevant provider.
Imported task information may be stored in Sequence and, if Sequence Pro synchronization is enabled, in private CloudKit storage.
Completion updates may be sent back to the provider when supported and when you use that feature.
Sequence does not receive or store these credentials on its own servers. The privacy practices of each connected provider also apply.
You can disconnect a provider from Sequence and remove its stored credential.
If you use the optional VariAlarm integration, Sequence may exchange selected focus-plan, alarm-boundary, schedule, and event metadata with VariAlarm on your device.
This exchange occurs only when you initiate or enable the integration. VariAlarm’s privacy policy may also apply.
Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. Sequence receives transaction and entitlement information needed to determine whether Sequence Pro is available.
Sequence does not receive your full payment card number or other payment details processed by Apple.
If you import a CSV, JSON, Markdown, text, or other supported file, Sequence reads the file you select and converts supported task information into Sequence tasks.
The file is processed on your device. Imported information may remain in Sequence storage and may be synchronized through private CloudKit storage if you use Sequence Pro.
Sequence may store information locally on your device using Apple platform storage, including:
Tasks, plans, events, templates, notes, and schedules.
App preferences and settings.
Widget and Live Activity data.
Sequence Guard configuration and reports.
Optional third-party service credentials in the iOS Keychain.
Purchase entitlement status.
Sequence may share or transmit information only when necessary to provide a feature you request, including:
Apple’s Calendar, Reminders, CloudKit, Speech, Screen Time, StoreKit, WidgetKit, and related system services.
A third-party task service that you explicitly connect.
VariAlarm when you enable the integration.
Email service providers when you contact us for support.
Sequence does not use analytics or advertising SDKs in the current version.
Sequence retains information for as long as it remains stored in the app, your private iCloud database, or a connected third-party service.
You can:
Delete tasks, notes, plans, templates, and other content from Sequence where the app provides deletion controls.
Disconnect optional task-service integrations and remove their credentials.
Revoke Calendar, Reminders, Microphone, Screen Time, or other permissions through iOS Settings.
Delete the Sequence app and manage iCloud data through Apple’s available controls.
Contact us to request deletion of information we may hold in connection with support or other direct communications.
We may retain limited information where necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or transaction records.
Sequence uses Apple platform security features, including private CloudKit storage and the iOS Keychain, where applicable. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.
Sequence is not directed to children under the age of 13, or the equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or portability of your personal information, or to object to certain processing.

Apple and connected third-party services may process information in countries other than your own. Those services apply their own privacy and security practices.
We may update this Privacy Policy when Sequence’s features, services, or legal obligations change. The updated version will include a new effective date and will be made available through the published privacy-policy page.
