September brings the Autumn Equinox celebrates when night and day are of equal duration and usually falls in the middle of Autumn, around September 21st. Traditionally, all the harvest is collected by this time and the stocks for winter are hoped to be plentiful.

A Women's Hike in Convalla, Co. Wicklow takes place on Saturday, September 6th. Participants will meet at 9.00 AM at Baravore Car park and the hike will begin at 9.30 AM sharp. This hike is perfect for women looking to enjoy the great outdoors and take on a challenge in a supportive and friendly environment.This Hike is classed as a moderate hike. Lowland Wanderers - Knockroe Hill and Holy Year Cross takes place on Saturday, September 13th. Participants will meet at the Sculloge Gap Car Park (R702). This is an out and back hill walk taking in the Shannon's Lane WW2 bomb site, great views of Mount Leinster, the summit cairn and Holy Year Cross. Follow the link HERE for tickets.
Tai Chi Experience - Day of Wellness is taking place on Sunday, September 7th in The Woodford Dolmen Hotel from 12pm to 4pm. Attendees can sample a variety of 30-minute taster sessions including physical Tai Chi, meditation, and breathwork, with up to 10 qualified teachers present throughout the day. The event promises something for everyone, with classes, presentations and meditation sessions running every half hour. Tickets can be bought at the door and are €10.
