Weather and Climate Extremes

My recent interest lies in extreme weather events related to large-scale circulation changes. For instance, how do the droughts change in the future along with the HC expansion? Recently, I looked at the global dryness change in response to CO2 removal in my recent paper (under revision). How about the floods in response to jet-meandering change? I'm willing to further discuss and work on these topics.

Recently I'm also working on the Nor'easter case study using the WRF simulation.

Large-scale Circulation Dynamics: Hadley cell, eddy-driven jet, and Walker circulation

My Ph.D. thesis focused on changes in the Hadley cell and the eddy-driven jet and their relationship under climate changes (from paleo to future global warming climates).

I'm recently interested in the Walker circlulation as well!

Large-scale circulation changes from paleo to future climates

SRM and CDR scenarios are proposed to alleviate the global warming signals. To mitigate global warming, such geoengineering approaches are needed to be investigated. I'm working on large-scale circulation changes in response to CO2 removal.

Are circulation changes in the paleoclimate the opposite to their future changes? I'd like to say "No." Even in the past glacial period, such as the Last Glacial Maximum (LGM; 21,000 years ago), the circulation changes are not mirroring their future changes.
